Our Board of Directors

Michael is a former Assistant Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Technology, Innovation and Citizen Services in British Columbia. He has held several executive level positions within the provincial B.C. government including the Executive Director of Real Estate Operations. He is a fully accredited member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and was formerly the Chief Appraiser for the Government of Canada.
 

Other past senior positions include Public Works and Government Services Canada; Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada; Revenue Canada; BC Assessment and the BC Housing Management Commission. Michael has gained significant experience in property taxation; payments-in-lieu of taxes programs; real estate deal and partnership structuring; asset and facilities management; contracting and procurement management; project and construction management; and portfolio planning.
 

Michael has 2 children and resides in White Rock B.C. and enjoys sailing on the Pacific west coast whenever he can.  

Darin is a senior facilities management professional with more than 25 years of public sector service in aboriginal engagement and residential real property and portfolio management. As a former Director, Portfolio Planning for the largest residential property landlord in British Columbia he developed frameworks to improve service delivery and leverage funding for maintaining existing  infrastructure and real estate assets. He also has led outreach and capacity building initiatives within indigenous communities across Canada and specializes in mentoring and training protocols to ensure long term housing sustainability.
    

He is an innovator in aboriginal engagement and his real property background includes experience in strategic planning and advisory services; requirements definition; capital and portfolio planning; options analysis and business case development; facilities, project and maintenance planning; financial and contractual structuring of projects; procurement; AFD; and human resource management.

Darin has one child and enjoys volunteer coaching for both hockey and soccer.
